     Skin woes



So I just realised that I'm allergic to the dogs... ARGH.

Broke out in angry red rashes all over my body- starting from places Leo and Smuffy would rub against or lick then spreading north/south/east/west... my skin has officially gone to shit.

Pet Allergy

Do you get a runny nose and/or watery eyes or a skin reaction such as a rash or develop an asthma attack? Then you may be suffering from allergy to dogs! Do you know that airborne particles shed from dogs? As with cats, once symptoms to dogs have emerged they tend to persist for a long time.

The tiny dander particles on your pet are sticky. They'll stick to you, your clothes and the carpets and furnishings in your home. They also can be carried through the air. Pet saliva can stick to carpets, bedding, furniture and clothing.

In most people, pet dander and saliva are harmless. But if you have a sensitised immune system, when these allergens enter your body — whether you inhale them or they enter through the membranes that line your eyes and nose as a result of being licked — they cause an allergic reaction.

During the sensitisation process, your immune system mistakenly identifies the allergen as an invader and produces an antibody against it called immunoglobulin E, or IgE.

Then the next time you're exposed to the pet's dander or saliva, the preformed IgE antibodies trigger the release of an inflammatory chemical called histamine, which causes an allergic reaction.

That's why I'm now usually doped up on anti-histamine orals sigh.

On the topic of skin, my mother has been handing me collagen supplements to chuck down my throat. I'm currently taking the LAC Taut Gold Standard Collagen Infusion Therapy (what a mouthful)- 199 ringgit for 8 bottles. What's important (to me) is that it tastes like orange juice!      Good news



At 9.00pm sharp- Tat was already furiously logging his student ID and password in. I covered my eyes with my hands, but peeped anyway... just to be almost smacked in the face by Tat's fist which he punched into the air as he yelled out a triumphant "YES!!!".

Tat did well for his exams :) Australia is a sure-go :) Congrats baby :)

Ahem some of you might have noticed that The Club members use this particular phrase *big shiny eyes a lot on our blogs/comments/chats. Well here's the history...

It all started when I got this MSN icon from Jolene and tagged it as /boo. Soon it became The Club's mascot after numerous MSN chats/meetings.

As only insiders will understand what /boo is, it soon evolved from one word with a slash into three words with an asterisk- *big shiny eyes. We've noticed that it's been circulating around... so we decided to trademark it.

From now on, *big shiny eyes will have to be typed out as *big shiny eyes ® THE CLUB... else face legal action.

DUN DUN DUN nah just joshing :)
