Dancing
Dancing
I don't really like modern dancing in general (whenever I go to clubs I'll be shifting from one foot to the other uncomfortably... like a guy), but I've always had a soft spot for ballet.
I used to do ballet when I was younger, but quitted upon my mother's suggestion. Besides her thinking that I had far too many activities going on (art classes, piano lessons etc.); my ballet academy had shifted away from near my home, and it would be a chore for her to send me. I pretty much welcomed the stop- more time for evening cycles to the park/more time for Jasmine to come over and play. But there were points where I wished I stayed on...
I still remember the five positions, I still remember doing pliés at the barre, I can still do decent splits, I can still do an arabesque (on flat of course), I sometimes do little (discreet) assemblés when I stand around for too long, I skip around and leap up pretending I'm doing jetés, I love pirouetting to see the colours whirl by... Even so, I know that ballet consists of many more factors of which I have no inkling of.
But one of my biggest dream is to dance en pointe. If I start now... I might be able to do so one day. Might. I mean I'm already 20...
Swan Lake- watch at 1:50 for Uliana Lopatkina. She's amazing
On a side note, I realise that I commit to many things... far too many to actually accomplish any of them.
Should I :(
