Gingerbreadman once more
Gingerbreadman once more
The run today was fine, except for two incidents:-
Ouch
I was running along the path when I realised there was a wedding shoot up ahead of me. Not wanting to become one of their backdrops, I ran off path- and when my left foot hit the bumpy mud trail, the ankle got a little twisted... I had to limp a bit but I ran it off by the fifth round so it's all good.
Crazy construction worker
During the last solitary round (Li Tat had already called it a day), I felt a little unnerved as one of the construction workers up ahead the trail was eyeing me and walking towards my direction. I HAD to run past him- and when I did, he ran straight at me with his arms flailing while giving some kind of war cry. Crazy mofo! I took two step back and resisted the urge to stick my foot out as he whizzed past me, hooting like a maniac. It would've been nice to see him flying.

Woof
Here's a video of Leo drinking from the garden tap :)

Showered clean after a short run before dins. As compared to the white monster I was a few months ago, I'm really brown now!
Face palm incident of the day:-
During the run, I encountered my first 'dog attack'. There was a dog waiting at the gate for its owner, and needless to say, when I RAN past it... it charged after me. It would have chased me if I ran on, but I did the next best thing... I stood really still and covered my eyes with my hands. *FACE PALM*
Luckily it wasn't some bigass german shepherd, man. It was some yappy little mongrel which scattered off after Tat bounded up menacingly.

You can't catch me, I'm the Ginger Bread Man!
You can't catch me, I'm the Ginger Bread Man!
So I slathered on generous amounts of sunscreen, tucked a 10rm note into my flip phone, popped on my red running shoes and left the house. The convenience store is say- two blocks and a main road away, so I decided to sprint. And sprint I did, partially in fear of meeting any dodgy characters on the way.
There weren't much cars around save for a car which slowed down at the intersection and had the driver stare at me. Prolly wondering "What the heck is this crazy girl doing running about in the blazing afternoon?!" Yeah, I don't know either.
Thanks to the black cat I met (bad omen- I'm too superstitious for my own good), I got a little paranoid and the sprint became a run for my life. And with that run, I made it back and forth in 2 mins +/- (excluding the time it took to purchase the credit).
Imagine my relief when I squeezed through the tiny opening of the gate (paranoia strikes again! If the auto-gate's opened too widely it will take longer to shut- and someone might take that opportunity to get in).
But it was a good run.
